Hi,
I need to make digital thermometer with DS1620 and as display driver MAX7221. I have BASIC Stamp 1. But I have a problem with displaying correct numbers at corrent positions. In spite of testing wihout DS1620 (number at display is set by potenciometer), the MAX7221 doesn't display correctly. I don't know how to continue with my projet :-(
Please, whether someone tried this circuit with BS1, could you send me part of code which control displaying numbers, or advise me how to do it? Meanwhile, all my advances were unsuccessful.
Thank you very much!
BTW excuse my bad English, I am from Czech Republic

· Attached is an article from nut & volts on interfacing the MAX7219 with a BS2.· It doesn't address your BS1 with 7-segments (?)·situation exactly, but may help nonetheless.

Post Edit -- Found some info that includes a program example using a BS1

I think that for better applications will be necessary BS2. But in Czech Republic, BS2p24 costs 2500 Kc (= about 115$)! Did somebody from Europe try to order any Basic Stamp Module directly from Parallax? As student, I don't want to spend all my money on one chip
