Hello!
That post I made earlier this week on digital logic and the BS1still has not arrived in its original form. So far the only thing related to the subject was the response by PJ concerning one idea, it contained a code fragment. I am·still thinking about it, and thank you PJ.

Is it possible IT guy that the servers at Parallax who manage the forum have actually lost the post as far as its supposed to arrive here?

PJ? How did you see it? By subscription from the forum? Or by a visit to the forum?

    Your Subject on transmitting numbers serially?· Like everything else, I just "log on" like, nothing special as I'm aware.· I don't subscribe usually.

    We did not receive a non-delivery report for the message. I'm curious, is the post of concern the one you made on 6/12;

    There are at least two possibilities regarding the missing email. The first is a case where a spam filter accepts the message and then fails to deliver it. Some sites do this without sending an NDR (non delivery receipt). The second is that the message is "misfiled" by the message routing rules on the recipient's server or client software.

    Now that we know exactly when the message was sent (posted), we can examine various log files to see how it was handled as it left Parallax servers. I'll dig into that issue tomorrow. I am assuming that there was a perception that the original post had, somehow, disappeared on the forums. A post can be moved from one fora to another but is gone forever once it is deleted. From what was stated earlier, I believe the issue might have been that the original post was missing, but all of the additional posts to the thread were intact.
