I would like to add electric motors to· my bs2 to make a fast little robot. the servos that parallax provides are just too slow. Jameco has a huge selection of alot of motors so I am wondering If I can buy something from them that will work with my bs2? doesn't have to be perfect. as long as it can move a boe bot or a· frame the same size and weight at a quick rate of speed thats all i need, its not going to leave the house so keep that in mind. Also where can I find some idea's on writing the code to get the motor spinning. it doesn't have to be controlled speed or anything. as long as I can make the motor spin at full throttle on and off thats all i need.

You can use a mosfet or a relay to turn your motor on and off. What type of input are you planning to use to control the motors? Joystick or pushbuttons?

Becuase push buttons will be alot easier and I have limited time at home when I will be working on this project lets just go with push buttons.

Either way is not too hard. but pushbuttons will be a little easier. You can use most any motor you see in jameco you will have to attach wheels to it and I think they have a wheel kit also. then when you get your motor picked out you can order some propperly sized mosfets and heatsinks from them then you should be ready to go.
