3.3V Regs, looking for recommended parts and their setups

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could recommended any 3.3V regulator parts and maybe explain/show their setup. I have the LM350 now in my circuit but was wondering if there was anything else out there that may be simplier and or better suited for low voltage regulation. Thanks in advance!

It's Only A Stupid Question If You Have Not Googled It First!!
I strongly suggest staying with the 3 wire version and with one that can tolerate reverse polarity.
See if you can get a LM2940CT-3.3volt. According to the PDF it can also block automotive spikes caused by switching headlights and honking the horn. Says it handles double overvoltage and reversed polarity.
Low dropout is a very useful feature too and I would avoid the78xx series because of the lack of that feature. With low dropout, you can run down a set of batteries quite far and you can use 3 rather than 4 AA cells. You save 25% on the battery bill right there.
