X10 TempLinc & BS2P40

I would like to know when using an X10 TW523 2way interface module, can you read the output from an X10 tempLinc with a BS2P40? In the manual they only list Xout, no Xin. I have two different projects I would like to use it on, a Hot Tub, and an Air Conditioner. If it can read the data, in what format will it be recieved?
