Other than Parallax are there any sources of industrial controller available to the individual experimenter at a reasonable price?

Like a PLC? have a look at this on ebay

I've seen others simular to this on ebay too. I've not tried them myself, but looks the same as ones I've seen in the field in actual applications.

    What's reasonable?

There are several industrial PLC's that get down around $150. Some require proprietary software to program, some come with another interface.

If you can give an idea of your requirements, you can probably get several definite suggestions.

    Hi,
I use Basic Stamps to do Industrial Control as well as dedicated PLC's.
It depends on thre job and budget which gets used.

What do you want to do? And How much do you want to spend?

When using a Stamp I use a custom PC board and solid state relays.
If it fits your use and buget we can work something out.
If it is a larger project then a PLC will work better.

I can also help you out with your·function and safety design.

    Thanks,

Actually the eNT controller board from AMT·Inc.,·fits all my needs.··The problem is that they do not sell to individual users in single lot quantities.· Any suggestions??

    Hi WB9OUF,

There are two possibilities for the EnT. I still have a few (about 20 ) available, but they are in the $100 range. I as mentioned before in the Forum, they were done for industrial projects at quite low production numbers, so costs were high. I have the rights from AMT, who I did the original design for.

I can also give you the complete schematic if you'd like to get some made up. In fact, if someone got a bunch made up, I'd buy 20 or 30 back from you.

    Hi Tom;

Depending on the quality of the I/P (schematics, layouts, Gerber files etc.) I might interested in building a bunch, and have you purchase some back.

Please provide some more details on the I/P.

    Cheers,

    Peter (pjv)
