I would suggest (for now) looking at the SX/B help file and examples if that is the route you are taking...
Do you have Gunther's book already?

What is the status of the Basic Programming book! If i want to learn assembly i will use Gunthers Book! You guys have the basic compiler where's the book to go with it. No a real hard question to answer.

There's one SX/B book in the works by an outside author, which is now about a year overdue. I'll call the particular author today and check in on his progress and try to report back to you. Other than him, there was a forum member who was also undertaking a book with SX/B, but I have not heard an update on his progress either.
There aren't any Parallax-authored SX/B resources other than the SX/B on-line help file.

You didn't specify SX/B, hence my attempt to clarify with follow up questions.
