    Life of program?· Don't know what you mean. It remains in the BS2 until you reprogram the BS2; it runs until it crashes/stops/end/runs out of power.

    Well, the program in an EEPROM is a set of stored charges on some internal gates. I think it's good for at least 5 years, possibly 10.
