Measuring an IR pulse

Hello,
Does anyone know about IR and the Pocket PC? I can send a byte ("A") from the ppc via the IRPort and not IRDA. I created a simple circuit where the pin on the IR detector was high until an IR signal hit it where it became low. I tries using Pulsin and measuring the pulses. I get a series of numbers 22 digits long. There are 6 groups of these numbers.

Can someone give me any help?
Thanks,
Curtis

Use an oscilloscope. Otherwise you are just fumbling in the dark.
