A little help.... generally....

Hello to everybody...

I want to make my own BS2 development board·(BOE) but not serial... I will use a USB interface...
What I need to know is what is the Fe Bead (well a coil, but how long) and if all BS2XX are supported... (I would prefere to use a BS2PX24)

I have some coils from an old broken MP3 player (picture)... Will they do the trick?!?!

Thanks, Provas, GReece

Those won't work...The specs for the FB are in the FTDI datasheet.

Can you please be more specific.

I did find the FTDI docs but I found nothing about the Ferrite Bead. It was senting me to another web page where I did find nothing once more.

    Thanks, Provas, GReece

    Provas,

·· I don't know how you found nothing, right in the beginning of the main datasheet was the following statement including a suitable part number and website.
    FTDI Datasheet said...

The value of the Ferrite Bead depends on the total current required by the circuit – a suitable range of Ferrite Beads is available from Steward (www.steward.com) for example Steward Part # MI0805K400R-00.
