HI everybody

Some weeks ago due to a mess in the HD of my PC, I had to reformat and reinstall all the programs,

I did everything as usual, but this time when I launch the editor, it shows an error message Disk not Found, Impossible to locate the disk in the unit, please insert a disk in the unit .
pressing Undo or continue two times, the Editor opens regularly and works fine, pressing try again does not work.

Any suggestion??

Thanks in advance

Stefano Caruso

P.S. the Propeller Tool has exactly the same problem, instead the Stamp Logic Analizer Program and the SX Editor starts flawlessy,

    Hello,

·· Both the Stamp Editor and the Propeller IDE have a built-in "explorer" which allows you to navigate and view files in the pane on the left.· This built-in explorer has to essentially get the information for all attached drives and you must have a Memory Card reader or a similar device for which a drive letter is reserved but which no volume information exists.· Is this the case?· If so you can simply cancel past it.· If not let us know.

I get this same ( or similar) error when I save from the editor to my ThumbDrive - the error occurs when I remove the thumbdrive and try to save, or if the drive is disconnected from my USB port and I open the editor. It cant find the drive, and generates an error. As Chris said, you can just cancel past the error message.

    Alohas,
    Robert

There are little weird things in Windows the way it handles removeable drives.· I will give you an example...If I connect my thumb drive to my Windows XP Pro computer (This happens on every machine I have seen) while the "My Computer" window is open you can clearly see the drive appear in the list and I can even double click it and view contents.· Now, if I already had a program open where I wanted to save data to the thumb drive I cannot do it the first time.· When I select Save As...and go through the list of drives the thumb drive doesn't appear at first.· But if I hit cancel and then select Save As...again, I see it.· This happens with my USB Hard Drives as well.

MANY MANY THANKS TO CHRIS AND ROBERT

This is another astonishing performance of that marvellous world that is Parallax.

I didn't think that in the package of the new HD there was also a 1Gb. memory disk and that this memory disk caused the problem.

    problem solved
    Thanks
