BASIC Stamp 2p 40-Pin Module

Hello,

after having some fun with my sumo bot, I would like to extend now my knowledge and projects. I was thinking of buying the BASIC Stamp 2p 40-Pin Module. This moduel offers me a lot of possibilities.
I do have one question on the prpgramming cable. Do I need to make it myself, or can I use the cable from my Sumobot?

    ·· The serial cable you use to program your Sumo Bot is the same one as used on the BS2p40.· Of course, this assumes you have a development board setup for the BS2p40.

    Then you would need to follow the connection diagram listed in the BASIC Stamp Manual for connecting the serial port directly to the BASIC Stamp.
