Does anyone know if the Basic Stamp Logic Analyzer will work with SX on the Professional Dev Board? I would like to make the investment of a Basic Stamp Logic Analyzer and the Professional Dev Board but, once I switch over to the SX from the Basic Stamp will the Basic Stamp Logic Analyzer be a waste? (I know the Professional Dev Board works with the SX)

    dmyers,

You could use the BSLA on the breadboard area, as it's a 24-pin 600 mil DIP rather than the 28-pin 300 mil SX28AC/DP socket. If you put it in the breadboard, you could wire from the SX's I/O ports to the BSLA. Remember to connect Vss and Vdd, too. Not the most elegant approach, but it would work! Perhaps the biggest limitation would be the frequency of the BSLA - it wouldn't be able to measure the fastest signals from the SX. . but if you run it at something less than 50 MIPS. Others can comment on this detail, but the BSLA specs should provide some upper limit you can relate to the SX's speed.
