Cheap servo extensions? Where?

Where can I purchase 10 or so servo extensions, at least 8" long for less than the $30 I am seeing at most places? That's quite a lot for some wire and connectors...any suggestions? Thanks.

Those are Female to Female, I think for servo *extensions*, you need male to female...?

There is a male to male adapter (3 pin SIP post header) included that will let you change the gender of one of the female ends.

    Hello Bulkhead,

It's really not that hard to make your own connector cables and it's a great skill to have. I can't tell from the previous posts if you need 0.1 or 0.156 or what, but solderless crimp-type connectors are pretty much all the same as far as how hard they are to make. Here is a post I made to help people get started:

    http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=577638

... of course, if all you need is one or two, and you can buy exactly what you need, I highly recommend just buying them, because making them will be more trouble than it's worth.

    Edit:
for more info, search with Google on
    "how to crimp"
    (with the parenthesis)
I can post more pics if you need.

Yeah, I already ordered 10 of these from parallax. I would make it myself but it just won't turn out as good as premade ones. The last thing I want is another possible problem spot on my robot- it would be one more thing to go wrong. I would probably still buy them at $3 each because I really need them, and am pressed for time to get this project finished and working (well). These just happen to be cheaper so I ordered a few extra. I'm going to cut some in half to make touch sensors for my robot. At $.50 for the half extension and $1 per switch, these sensors will be cheap, reliable, and easy to make.

I'm not sure if I need .1 or .156, but it is the kind that servos use. I hope I got the right ones.
