Exponential OP-AMP circuit

I am working on a device where the Gain works good at Unity on an op amp for the lower range volume but at the higher range I need an exponantial curve to get to where I need it.



At Unity gain I have the first op amp running at 9V the output is from 0 to 1/2 volt

I want the range from 0 to 5 volts where the voltage starting at 1/4 volt ramps up to 5V as it moves from 1/4 to 1/2 volt

Any Ideas?

You'll likely need something a little more complicated than a simple logarithmic configuration if you want regional amplification.
