For the quick schematics I post here I use ExpressSCH that is part of the ExpressPCB package -- free from www.expresspcb.com. After doing the drawing I output to a 200 dpi bitmap, then open in my graphics editor (Paint Shop Pro) to trim the borders and save as a JPEG to make the file smaller for easy downloading.

interesting enough...but why is it that the stamp file is not recognized in the express pcb program?

I use QCAD.· This program will output the files as pdf, and it has a parts editor, so if it doesn't have the part you need, then you can create it.·

I found this package awhile back. They have a freeware version plus a lite and professional version. I haven't downloaded so I can't speak for it.
