Ping))) stopped working

My Ping Ultrasonic sensor suddenly stopped working?
I switched stamp and still no response on the second stamp.
I am sure it's connected to the program I/O port and even tried different port.
I tried the Sample Code that is not responding either.
Any suggestions?

    Have you tried a new set of batteries?

    I was using fresh batteries on my BS2P40, and using plug in power on my demo board with the BS2.?

    How much voltage was going to the PING)))?· Where was it connected, Vdd or Vin?

    The GRD was connected to Vss, the ping 5+V to Vdd and Sig pin to the stamp to pin 8 (and 15 and 1). And yes I made sure the program reflected the pin change.
    The ping)) worked fine up to Suday.
