camera object on Propeller?

Is there already or plans to build integration btwn webcam style lightweight cam w/ propeller. Can someone shed thoughts on:
1. data capture from cam for face/obj recognition
2. ability to trigger cam to on/off
3. snap still and motion
4. are there any I2C enabled cams out there
5. Will this integration support USB cams
