Computer Wont Reconize Stamp

I just got one of the stamp kits unassembled. I assembled it and now my comuter wont reconize it, whats wrong?

    I dunno.· What Stamp kit?· Laptop?· Using a USB-to-RS232?· The devil is (always) in the details.

    OK. Make sure you have the serial cable set up right. Remember your Board must be ON for the computer to reconized it. What port are you using? USB? If so, Do you have Parallax's adapter?

    One of my power connections was loose.
    I'm using a computer power supply to run it. This is because I am also in the process of computerizing my chrsitmas lights, and that is the power supply of choice, so i just decided to stick with it.

    Now it just quit working on me again, and this time all of the electrical lines are fine
    Anyone have any Ideas?
