If you are using WinXP and you want it to be a virtual comport, then select 1.0.2176 (second option). The first option is for the current switch to 64 bit processors and windows vista.
If you want it to behave as an actual USB Device, then you will want the D2XX Driver version 3.01.04
Windows XP personally, but I need to be able to support NT, XP--everything after 98. The chiplists after the OS on that page do not mention the FT232RL at any point, hence my question.
Yeah...The type of chip is 'FT232R'. The "L" at the end is the package type. There is an "L" and a "Q". These different packages do not require different drivers. The chip is just listed as FT232R on the drivers page.
