LCD parallel connnection

Hi, does anyone knows why its so complicated (in terms of code) to connect the parallel lcd to the stamp?

    Why do you say it's complicated? The code we've written for the BASIC Stamp simply follows the interfacing guidelines set forth by Hitachi, et. al.· I'll admit it takes a bit of code, buy I (and others) have written that for you -- you just need to put it to use.· If that's still a problem there's always Serial LCDs which cost a bit more, but are easier with code and connections.
