I am very confused
Below is referring to the 96 dpi Serial Inkjet Printer Development Kit PDF. v1.1 updated 11/2005.
The schematics on pages 33 and 34 leave me with more questions than answers as the board is optionally powered by USB @ 5 volts·or a BOE @ 6 volts [see Sec 3.2, item #2 page 8].
I read the documentation and it says clearly that +6volts is expected to supply the board in the Sec 2.3 Technical Specifications on page 5.· But the diagram above it has a 5 volt power supply noted.
I read Page 4, Sec. 2.1 for Features and it says a Step-up 6 to 24 VDC power supply.
I look at the images of the physical·board and it shows +5volts as the input.
I can only guess that the range from +5 to +6 is okay BUT +5 IS SAFEST·and that the document should have given the range with the +6 maximum.· But I am not sure.
I have tried to list ALL of the references to voltages above so that you might resolve inconsistent language.

And, the USB power appears to only support the USB interface.
