Voltage Regulator

I'm pretty new to electronics, so please bear with me.

I'm looking for a voltage regulator like the LM7805 that can handle more current. I have a device that draws 2 amps, so I will probably need something above that.

    Here is what you are looking for LM323AK 5VDC 3Amp Voltage Regulator
    And here is a link where you buy one at

    One thing this is a T-O3 case not a T-220 case you can find them in a T-220 case but
    unless you have a GOOD HEAT SINK you will have HEAT problem with them
    a large heat sink for a T-220 is hard to find T-O3 are eaiser to find

    You might start here for information on higher curent supplies then dig around here for some schematic designs. smile.gif
