I'm pretty new to electronics, so please bear with me.
I'm looking for a voltage regulator like the LM7805 that can handle more current. I have a device that draws 2 amps, so I will probably need something above that.

One thing this is a T-O3 case not a T-220 case you can find them in a T-220 case but
unless you have a GOOD HEAT SINK you will have HEAT problem with them
a large heat sink for a T-220 is hard to find T-O3 are eaiser to find
