Hi all,

I want to make·a PCB board, where I can place the BS2 so I would be able to program it with the editor, and interface it with Visual Basic. I have the schematic of BS2 board of education, but I dont know which of the connectionsare essential.

Anyone can help me?

The BS2 Carrier Board has the minimum amount of connections necassary to run a BS2 www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=27120

I'm not being snarky, but there are no redundant pins.· Unless you're well-versed in prototyping then I second the previous post and urge you to go with a (proven) winner.

my only consideration is the 1000uF capacitor connetcted to the reset pin. I dont know if it is necessary.

1000 uF? The BS2 Carrier board has no capacitor on the reset pin - it just connects to ground thru a switch.

I say, yes, the 1000uF is necessary.

It's not on the Reset, it's on VDD (the down-regulated output.)· It should be rated 10V (or more.)

Note that for a PC-board, it can be expensive to have them made in individual quantities. If individual quantities are what you are after, it's hard to beat the Pro Development board.
