no BASIC Stamps found

Hi,

I'm using a laptop with Windows XP and a Board of Education - USB. I've installed the USB drivers and when I Identify - it registers as a yes for both Loopback and Echo. But when I try the DEBUG 'Hello World!", I get 'no BASIC Stamps found'.

Any advice?

Another possibility is a latency timer issue.· Go into your control panel to the Device Manager (System Properties) and in your Ports Category you should see the USB Serial Port COMx.· Double-click that and go to Port Settings, Advanced.· Turn the latency timer value from 16 down to 1 and hit okay on both windows.· Try again.

I'm using a BOE so it has its own power supply and the led is on.

I tried the latency timer and tried again but I'm getting the same reply.

Try a fresh set of batteries.· Even if you think the ones you have are brand new, they could still be low/bad.· Do you have a meter you could test the voltage at the 9V connector with?

Which COM Port are you getting the yes for loopback and echo on?· Is that the same port assigned to the USB driver?
