Hi,

I have a small dc hobby motor from Radio Shack. Pretty common and cheap motor. I would like to simply run it from my BS2, but cannot find any obvious information in the forum.

Can anyone help; I know this is a serious Newbie request.

thanks so much

Do NOT connect it directly to your Stamp, you will damage a pin and maybe kill the Stamp.· This article will tell you what you need to know:

Once you have the motor working, your next step might be to look at an "H-Bridge". This would allow you to reverse the motor. Go to http://search.parallax.com and enter "h bridge" (without the quotes). You can either build one "from scratch" or buy chips with them built in. This is what many of the "motor controllers" use (like the HB-25 and others).
