BS2PX oscillator noise
NickelPlate

Hi All,
While viewing SEROUT data from my new BS2PX on my oscilloscope I noticed that the signal is quite noisy. I've attached a screenshot and you can see that there is about 344mV of noise at 32Mhz. This is obviously coming from the onboard 32Mhz oscillator. I would expect to see some noise from the oscillator, but 344mV peak to peak seems like an awful lot.
I also probed right on the stamp pins using a high frequency probe tip so this is the noise coming out the door so to speak. Is this normal, or do I have a particularly noisy stamp?
Thanks in advance.
Dave

We have tested several here, and cannot seem to get the levels of noise that you are seeing. We would like to get that Stamp back from you, please contact our tech support staff for an RMA. We will send you a replacement, but would like to test that stamp that you have. You may be able to clean up that noise with a .01uF cap across Vdd and ground as well.
