I would like to know if programming basic stamp together with the board of education may have possiblities that can cause damage to PC hardwares..specially video cards?If I ordered·parallax products do·I get warranties for the products I bought?·

    As far as I know, there's NOTHING that a BS2 or Board Of Education (properly assembled and used) can do to a PC's video card.

    The BOE is connected to the PC through a serial port, or a USB to Serial converter, or directly with a USB cable. None of these have any effect on the PC.

    I WAS able to burn out a PC's serial port once, when I accidentally put 120 volts AC on a card I was working with that was connected to the PC at the time. But, this was NOT a BOE (which uses a wall-wart transformer so all the BOE sees is around 12 volts DC). The point being, really don't connect 120 Volts AC to the BOE, and your PC should be safe.
