I swear I'm not in to this stuff....found it though...so not sure if that lets me off the hook!

Anyhow, a kind of corny but cool use for Persistance of Vision with these LED rims!
Check out the video!

You can custom program each wheel and they are wirelessly controlled...didn't read long enough to see what the power source was...but neat anyhow!

Cool! Says it runs off car power. How they do that at 100's, if not 1000's, of RPM is beyond me. And I don't see anything about pricing.

    Dream on...

I have seen those, they are pretty darn cool, but the usual way they get the energy to the lights is by magnetic coiles the same way as a power transformer.

way too flashie for me... cool, but for 15K, I'd rather equip my workbench, finish building my HO layout, and maybe even get the stuff to custom build a motorcycle...

There's also the fact that the DMV(or equivalent) in some countries REALLY doesn't like them...

I know that here in Norway those lights people mount under the car are banned.
(They are considered too distracting. You can mount them, and even exhibit the car with the lights switched on, but hit the road with them still powered... )

No such rules for bicycles, though...

·· well, the easy way is to use a sping slider that contacts a ring on the wheel, but would suffer from dirt, etc.the other way would be to use induction

·· put·two·coils in line with each other and juice it with a D/c to·A/c converter, ·just as a transformer works,no problems with dust or water!
