Cheap Stamp Breadbord...

I just got the "123 Robotics Experiments for the Evil Genius" book, ISBN 0071413588...

The book includes a PCB to make your own Basic Stamp 2 Breadboard.
You will need to add the following:
2 220 Ohm 16 pin DIPs
2 0.01 uF Capacitors
1 CKN9009 push button
1 24 pin 0.600 socket for the BS2
1 Single row 32 pin PCB Mount socket
1 PCB mount, female 9-pin D-shell connector (for the RS 232 cable)
1 9 V battery holder plus screws to hold it down.
1 3.5 inch Breadboard

Not as fancy as the Board of Education, but for $25 you get the book and the PCB...

· Ordinarily, the "OEM BS2 Kit"·has been $30 (if you look for it in the Sale section) and I have more solderless breadboards around than you can shake a stick at (if that's your idea of a good time.)
· I'm not an evil genius, though, just a big pain.

Well, I'm neither evil nor am I a genius...
The book seems to be pretty basic, like the WAM book but a few more examples.

What I liked with this breadboard is the 9-pin D-shell connector so I can program the BS2 and since there is no solderles breadboard already installed, I'll go with a big one in stead...
