Help needed on mounting an OEM Basic Stamp into an enclosure.

Hi, I've got an OEM Basic Stamp that needs to be mounted into an enclosure, but there are no screw holes on the board like the BOE or Homework Board. Space is a factor or I would have used the BOE or Homework boards. How would I go about mounting the OEM board safely and securely?
Thanks.

Use the (2) thumbscrews on the DB9 connector to mount the board to your enclosure.

    · I don't mount/solder the programming connector to the OEM board.· I mount it to a panel and bring wires back to the OEM/pcb.· I then use those two holes on the pcb·(that the DB9 used for its retainer clips that push in them) for·stand-offs.

    · PS -- See pic attached.

If you hold the board up to a light you can see there is no copper in the area where it says "Stamp(R)2 OEM","2004 RevA2".· In my book that's fair game for hole drilling.· But I'm guessing Parallax may not honor the warranty, you'll want to check with them if that is an issue for you.

Last time, I used Scotch double sided foam tape and stuck it to the side of the enclosure.

I used doublesided tape also. Just test to see if the adhesive is conductive with your voltmeter first. I covered the entire bottom side with the tape. If your going to be taking it on and off a lot use velcro or dual-lock.

Excellent ideas, all of them. I may try a velcro solution. Thanks all!

I too have used the DB9 connection for moutning, but I also had the SIP header soldered into another board which was also mounted.· It took some planning.
