Project enclosure or bezel to fit LCD modules?

Does anyone know of a project enclosure that has a window that will accomodate Parallax's serial 4 x 20 LCD module?· How about a bezel that would fit around it so my sloppy dremel work won't show?·Same questions for the 16x2 LCD module.

Hi Don,

· Scott Edwards at www.seetron.com has bezels to fit the LCD sizes that you're talking about - I've used them often and like them alot.· Rough-cut your opening, although there isn't alot of wiggle room, mount the display and then apply the bezel that cleans up that·rough opening sight line and covers the mounting screws.· The bezels are included in the mounting kit for each display, take a look for them here:

Amazingly enough, I found this site this morning before reading your post.· But thank you just the same.· I ordered one each of the 4x20 and 2x16 to try them out and see if they would actually fit.· It is great to hear a first hand account that they do in fact work.· Thanks again.

Add a "nibbler" (available at RadioShack) and a cross-cut file (cuts on both strokes) to your arsenal.· Perfect for square holes that look good.

As far as the nibbler goes, I agree. It's a great and inexpensive tool that I've used alot too.
