Will the Boe-Bot kit handle 12VDC?

Hello, I just have a quick question. I was looking to convert my Boe-Bot to using a different development board, so as to gain some applied experience working with Embedded C and Assembly. This new development board, however, can't run below 8VDC, and I was just curious if all the other components, i.e. servos, motors, and sensors that Parallax provides will work with 8-12VDC.

Thanks in advance,
A4B4

Servos will tolerate 6v without any problems, going above that will shorten their lifespan in a big hurry. All of our current sensors/accessories are designed for 5v -- anything above that will kill them dead; don't do it. Perhaps your new development board has a 5v output that you can use for your servos and sensors.

    Thanks for your quick response!

Actually, it turns out my new board does have a 5v output, so all seems well.

    Thanks again,
