Using L298 Driver from solarbotics...

Trying to refresh myself on microcontrollers, and I have the L298 driver circuits from solarbotics. Does anyone have·some Java code out there for using these drivers? I don't want to program something wrong and smoke my new chip. I need an example to get me started.
