Slow browsing through the forum. Need some special settings?

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum.
Unfortunately, when I browse through it or edit/reply to posts or else, the refresh of the screens is extremely slow. Sometimes it takes up to one minute (eyes on the watch!) until I get to the next window. Pressing F5 (refresh) helps from time to time.
I·have this problem at home where I'm connected to the internet via ADSL (600/200) and also .... at work where I have an excellent network and very high capacity connexion.
I don't have this problem with other specialized forum (i.e. MODACO and CUBASE).
Do I have to configure something special?
Thank you for your advice(s).
NB: sorry if this topics already exists; I can't find any since the "search" function just stucks everytime...

I am on various versions of highspeed (T3 at work and ADSL at home) and don't have any problems myself.
Could it be a firewall setting?

Which browser are you using?
I continue to experience a similar problem with Internet Explorer 6.0.028 on Windows 98SE, but it's only real bad in the CONTROL PANEL section. It can take me up to 10 minutes to get in and out of there, depending on what I need to do. It's bearable elsewhere, but slow.
If I switch to the Opera browser, the problem seems to go away. I'd use Opera all the time, if it supported a scrolling mouse <argh>.
Welcome to the Snail Club <sigh>.

I also tried to use different browsers. No difference.
Strange...

This utility will ping each router between your system and the web server. Typically, you will see response times start off in the 15 - 30 ms range and slowly increase until you reach our firewall. The response time along the route should never exceed 120 ms. You might the a line that has one or more asterisks '*' along the route, which indicates a problem with that particular router.
As a side note, we monitor the response time on our web sites. The IT team is alerted if the performance falls below acceptable levels.

I just ran a tracert from New Jersey, and everything is sub-100 ms right up until the end. At your end, two of the last three significant entries are as follows, with times for three different run:
65.106.0.38 San Jose 110, 92, 93
207.88.80.50 Roseville 120, 100, 99
All other times throughout are in the range 8-36 ms, and seem to be consistantly so.

Bruce Bates

Not sure why I'm being routed to WashingtonDC, perhaps I should be alarmed?· Hmmmm
