frequencies

I built a small theremin and ran the output frequency through a saturated opamp to create a square wave. is there a way for me to input that squarewave into my BSII-sx? Can I just run it into the serial in without any other devices?

You wouldn't read it serially...But you could feed it into a Stamp I/O pin if it is within the range of 0-5 volts.

it will be 5v . what I want it to do is read the frequency so I can convert it to MIDI output.

The typical way to do an AC voltage to frequency conversion is using a Fast Fourier Transform on a Digital Signal Processing chip. I don't think the BS2 is fast enough to do this without some assistant FFT chip.
