Parallax sells a 75MHz oscillator. http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=252-00005
You shouldn't have to do anything except change the FREQ value.

Parallax doesn't charge for shipping -- we simply pass on the costs charged by the companies that actually transport product, and sometimes they charge a whole lot of money for reasons that are very difficult to comprehend....

It gets that high to ship to Taiwan, very easily. $300USD of merchandise, $100USD shipping. And 5% duty upon arrival.

But to answer your question about programing...

If you have time sensitive code [such as an RS-232 virtual peripheral, it certainly does matter].· We would need to know what you are trying to do in order to tell you how to fix it.

well i have a sx28 programmed by Javalin that i just recieved today. in it is a program that is sadly talking to a camera and RX232 and SErvo so it seems we cant use 80MHz one.

But! is there a way to create one myself? like multiply a 15MHz one or so?

btw. "here" is Estonia- country in easten Europe.

Thans for your replys

Well, the SX-28 has internal FUSE settings which include an assumption about the oscillator that will drive it.
You would have to review the SX-28 PDF to determine if you really can use an alternative.

The code cannot be changed without a programmer, so you are stuck at 75Mhz.

Can you actually use the Parallax 75Mhz TTL Oscillator?
If you certain you can, send me a PM as I have 4 that I just got from Parallax.

Other people here were very generous in sending me some resonators and I ordered these 75Mhz for a 'rainy day' as I have several SX-48 protoboards. I may never use all of them.

Still, it will cost you postage plus the $2.50USD from Taiwan. Estonia is a very interesting country. From what I hear, the youth are running the government.

I only ask that you repay the kindness, by helping someone else on the Forum at sometime in the future. Take a look at the Propeller -- very leading edge.
