Changing PINK variables

So, I was wondering, is there a way using an html form / input to change the value of a variable.
Here's is the desirable situation.
There's two buttons, one says true one says flase, both are connected to the same pink variable. If true is clicked the form sends 1 to the variable, if false is clicked the form sends 0 to the variable.
These seems so simple, it's stupid. What am I missing?
