Hello. I live in Pennslyvania USA and am wondering if anyone know about any robot competitions in the summer. I would perfer automonous robots to be involved. It also would have to be a single person, (no teams) competition.
·and of course, a cash prize always makes it better.smilewinkgrin.gifsmilewinkgrin.gifsmilewinkgrin.gif
Thanks

What part of PA do you live in? If near Pittsburgh, I would check Carnegie Mellon University (they have a big robots program)... If you live near Philly, check out the Trinity Fire Fighting Contest at Penn State, Abington (here is the schedule... http://www.trincoll.edu/events/robot/Schedule/regional.asp)

if you live in the Amish country, you should not be reading this since you are not suposed to use electricity!

I've competed several times·in the PennBots autonomous·contests (http://pennbots.org) in Carlisle, PA, area.· Most of the contests are small combat things, but there are regular autonomous contests.·

Bill Bechtel, one the coordinators, is a high-school science teacher and has the autonomous·'bots as part of his·class's coursework--tell him I sent you.
