PINK, BS2, and a relay to remote power up/down ....
![doggiedoc](https://forums.parallax.com/uploads/userpics/719/nBTCZT9YA7HI9.jpg)
I was just sitting here thinking of a way to bring a "legacy server" online at the clinic from home. Is it feasible to control a BS2 or other Stamp with a PINK from the web to switch a relay to power up a server?
If so, could it be done fairly securely?
Has anyone tried this? I guess I should order a PINK and experiment.
TIA -

You can then have a stamp read that register from the PINK which would then, in turn, have a relay setup connected to it where you could indeed cycle the power to something.

The PINK (with a stamp attached, of course) will do exactly what you want. One of the samples that comes with the unit lets you click on a browser page and transfer the on/off to a register which the stamp can then read.
I your case, its important to make sure the router connected to your ISP stays alive even when the legacy machine is off-line. There's a forum member ( Tim, perhaps?) who has/had a neat demo running where you can see the results of clicking the browser button. Uses live video, too. Search for PINK.
