A simple question about a EEPROM

If an EEPROM is setup like 16K x 8. For a total of 128k. It would have 16,000 addresses of 8 bytes right.
please let me know if I'm wrong.

    Remember, 1K in binary is 1024 -- hence 16K is 16 x 1024 = 16,384.

    If you can remember that then you can remember Parallax's toll-free sales number: 888-512-1024 (note the prefix and suffix are perfect binary numbers!)
