I have lost the commands window of the SXSim.· The window header·appears·on the task bar but I cannot access it.· Has this happened to anyone and if so please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
Steve

I get this when maximizing the window. Try deleting the .sim file to reset it.

    Steve,

when you re-size the SXSim main window, the commands window is pushed to the right. I thought this would be a nice feature but seems as if it was pushed completely off-screen in your case so that you can't drag it back, or - maybe - you have dragged it to some place off-screen by mistake.

When you quit an SXSim session, the window positions are stored in the .sim file, so _djm's tip is absolutely correct. Delete the .sim file, and SXsim should come up with the windows positioned to their defaults when you launch it the next time.

BTW: For any SXSim-related questions, please feel free to post a message to the "sticky" SXSim thread on top of this forum section instead of starting a new one. This makes it easier for me to follow up, and keeps the forum "clean" from multiple threads adressing the same topic.

    Steve,

it's me again - I just tried the "push" function - this actually does not push the commands window off screen. When its right edge reaches the right window border, it stops moving any more, and stays on top of the main window. So it is most liekly that you have moved it off-screen manually - or there is still a bug in SXSim.

Instead of deleting the .sim file, you may also open it with an ASCII text editor, like Notepad. Locate the line reading CML= xxxx (where xxxx is any number). Delete this number to make the line read CML= and save the .sim file. When you start SXSim the next time, the commands window should be sitting right of the main window.

    Thank you guys for responding.
    Guenther,
I did what you suggested in your last post. IT WORKS! I cannot remember what I did last that caused this to happen but I do know that I had either clicked load file or maximize.
Thank you for this wonderful tool.
In the future I will use the “sticky” SXSim thread.
