Transmit Stall On Comm 1

Hello All
Reading and working through Gunther Daubach's book "Programming the SX Microcontroller".
As I run the code examples in his book my SX Key stops working from time·to time and displays
the message "Transmit Stall on Comm 1".·

I've tried different cables, checked my connections and checked the FIFO buffers.· Still the
message pops up.· Sometimes after the transmit stall alarm I recieve "SX Key Not Found On Comm 1"
message.

Even at times, running in Debug mode,·the Debug screen just stops with out giving message/error
for no appearent reason.

Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions?
P.S. Gunther's book is excellent for learning assembly.

Thanks in advance
Gordon

    Hi Gang
Think I might have this one licked.· Went back into device manager, checked the FIFO buffer(again).
Even though the settings were set about mid-way, this still seemed to cause an issue with
the communitions to the SX Key. After turning the FIFO setting to the lowest settings, all seems
    fine and well.

Maybe this will help someone else down the line.

    Gordon,

For some reason, many systems prefer to run the SX-Key with little to no FIFO buffering. I have exact reason why this is, but it does seem to help a lot of people.
      Thanks, PeterM

I had a similar problem last night when working with a servo. If I had the servo disconnected, all was fine. If I connected the servo, I would get the stall message (I was using the "run" mode in debug to keep the update going on the servo).

I switched the 9v supply out for the 7.5 volt 1 amp supply, and things seemed to be resolved. I didn't do anything with the FIFO settings (yet).
