Not very helpful...I didn't see the pinouts for the BASIC Stamp anywhere on there...· =)

Always good to have this information!

On that note, is there a site for electronic component pinouts?
Or rather, are all PNP transistors the same pinout (in their respective packages)? Same for NPN, Fets, Mosfets..etc...

I'm working on a pulse driver for a thyratron at work and couldn't find a datasheet on the mosfet in circuit....so made a guess that the pinouts were the same from one TO220AB package to the other!

There's no law that I know of.· Quite often, TO-92 transistors are E-B-C and TO-220 FETs are G-D-S, but they don't have to be.

    Chris:
Well, We'll just have to email the chap the specs for the stamps and propeller, eh? Simple enough to fix!

I thought that the BasicStamp pin outs were a well known industry wide standard.
After all, when you are sucessful everyone wants to emulate you.

    Transistors make me feel dyslexic.
Do I look down or up, is it NPN or PNP, BorE, or EorB.............?

KK and Kramer both have valid points!· And I never trust a transistor or FET without looking at the datasheet unless it's a 2N3904, 2N2222 or 2N3906.· Anything else I check in advance.

    Chris,

A word of caution(not that you would, but if you ever did)! The Radio Shack 15-transistor special NPN or PNP ...The last pack that I picked up had ECB pinouts for every single one in the pack.

Chris, I sent the adm of the pin outs site an email to see if he wanted the specs for the stamp series. Too Cool.

    Beau,

·· Now that you mentioned it, the last time I got some they were the right pinout, but out of spec.· In fact the ratings on the back were incorrect for several parts I got at RS.· My guess is sometimes these are surplus parts or similar.

    KK,

·· Yes, the Stamps have earned their place in the·pinout guides out there!· =)
