I've been running a program that generates DTMF signals to a relay board for a few weeks.· Today I modified the program and tried to download it to my Bd of Education.· I get an error message, "Hardware communication failed".·Now not only does the new program not run but none of the older programs will run. ·I'm using the same computer and RS 232 cable.

Suggestions please.

    Using batteries?· Try a new battery.

    Also try uploading or try to identify with the circuit disconnected from the Stamp Module if this persists.

    I'm using wall outlet type power supply.
    Chris- what circuit disconnected?

    Presumably you have your DTMF circuitry connected to the BASIC Stamp.· Have you tried diconnecting that circuitry to see if it's causing the problem?

    I connected a new 9 volt battery and disconnected the DTMF board and I still get that error message, "Hardware communication failed". Suggestions?

    If nothing else has changed on your system then it is possible that the Stamp Module got damaged...How does it connect to your PC?· Serial or USB?

    Serial. But this has not changed. What does the error message mean? The "Reset" button does nothing.

    It means you will probably need to send you Stamp Module in for testing.· Please contact Technical Support by phone tomorrow or e-mail us at support@parallax.com
