how can i add speed control to my h-bridge?

my h-bride is compose of 2 spdt relays and 2 optoisolators. works awsome. I just want to add speed control and i wonder if i could do it with a 555 if so how? thaks you for your attention.

if ya could kindly provide a schematic it would be nice

    my h-bridge is connected to my Basic stamp 2 all my project that i work on are build around the basic stamp 2

    What do you mean by speed control ?
    Do you need a feedback on speed ? Or you just want to increase/decrease the speed ?

    How about U/L'ing a schematic so that those interested might propose "intelligent" suggestions.
