Integrating USB GPS to Stamp

Does anybody have any experiences with USB GPS devices? I was recently scouring ebay for cheap GPS devices but I noticed that much of the receivers are now USB. For example: cgi.ebay.com/GPS-USB-12-Channels-Receiver-for-Laptop-PC-New-U_W0QQitemZ5869447100QQcategoryZ4668QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Now, what confuses me is that the listing says:
"BAUD RATE: NMEA 0183 V.2.2 @ 4800 BAUD, 8N1" and "INTERFACE: USB CONNECTOR. Support host USB-to-serial driver."
Does that mean the lines coming out of the GPS can be directly interfaced to my Stamp just like a regular serial GPS? Sorry, I do not understand the USB protocol and how it differs regular serial. The pinout of a USB appears to be a simplified version of a regular RS-232 w/ only the bare essentials of RX, TX, GND and Power.
