Using the BS2 OEM Kit

I have a BOE that is missing a perished Stamp.· I was going to get a new BS2IC but then I got to thinking.· The BS2 OEM is $19.00 cheaper.· So I decided to make an adapter that would let me use the OEM on the BOE.· The adapter plugs into the AppMod header on the BOE to supply ground and Vin to the OEM.· All the pins on the OEM are brought to two headers on the adapter on each side of a little breadboard like the one on the BOE.· By patching from these headers to the AppMod header, I can make any pin on the OEM available to the BOE since the BOE Stamp socket is now empty.· Not only do I have two breadboards to work with, but I can plug a piggyback into the BOE Stamp socket and the OEM will control it.
I'll post some pictures when I have it all finished.

Since all the Stamp pins on the OEM are isolated from the Stamp pins on the BOE, it occurred to me I can plug another Stamp into the BOE and have two Stamps running together, using one I/O line for serin/serout.· I have an EEPROM/DS1302 piggyback I can plug in underneath the BOE Stamp and use it to store data with a time stamp.· The OEM Stamp can collect data from temp/humidity sensors and relay the data to the BOE.
This should work out quite nice
