Hi
Hoping somone may be able to help me i have constructed a project and i have to program pics 12C671 and 16F84 and i have purchaced a olimex pg2c PIC programmer however it has no software and the iprog isnt compatable with windows 2000 so i need a program that is can you advise, ps i have been looking round the internet for 6 weeks so i can find anything mabe you can help or even program the modules for me i will happy pay for your trouble i will send you the pics and the code in ASM (as i can seam to get a hex convertor) thanks

You can buy Myke Predko's PIC text and it will tell you everything you need to know.
The manufacturer has a very complete Assembler {MPLAB IDE] that is free [noparse][[/noparse]but the C program cost money]
After all that, you will generally find that you have to read about 10 times the pages of text to study PIC.
I went with the SX because it is a more accessible entry point for a newbie.
