Interfacing RJ11 and a breadboard

Hey guys,
I'm working with a X10 module to control a lamp in my house. I have the power line interface and a lamp adapter. From the power line interface I have a rj11 cable ran directly into my breadboard. I believe their is a connection problem - Does anyone know a way to interface those small rj11 wires into a breadboard?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Jonathan,·Parallax sells an RJ11 female connector that mounts on the PC board and accept a cable with an RJ11 male connector.· Part Number is 452-00008.

That part number brings up a DB9 female connector...Perhaps it's my ignorance in this field, but how do I interface that with my breadboard?

Part #: 452-00006 brings up a RJ11 female connector however..The thing is does that fit directly into a breadboard or does it require soldering?

I don't know if the leads are .1" spacing (breadboard spacing), perhaps somone at Parallax can inform you. If it is .1" spacing youd have to modify the retention clips to get it to seat properly in your breadboard.

Ok, so assuming they aren't .1" spacing - Can you guys think of any other ways to get the RJ11 cable into the breadboard with good conductivity?

Pins 1 and 2 are on .100 centers.· Pins 3 and 4 are also on .100 centers but they are offset to the right .050.· You could solder wires to the pins so you could plug the wires into the breadboard.

You could carefully solder the wires to a SIP header.
